Tara BESS is proposed for lands within the Saugeen Ojibway Nation Territory, and the Treaty area of the Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. Neoen is strongly committed to building and maintaining respectful, long-term relationships with Indigenous communities.

Neoen would like to thank the many residents, stakeholders and rightsholders who have contributed to our community consultation processes. With your feedback, we have made the decision to cancel development at the originally proposed location.

Neoen is now renewing its engagement efforts with residents and rightsholders to explore alternative locations for this important investment in local clean energy infrastructure. We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing more information in the near future. We welcome your input at info@tarabattery.ca
